The Season for Love!

This is the season for Love! We are two days away from celebrating earthly love with our families, spouses, boyfriends, and girlfriends but what if we could celebrate UNCONDITIONAL LOVE EVERYDAY for the rest of our lives!! 

God sent his one and only son to die on the cross for all who believe so we can be free from sin and live with him eternally John 3:16 States “God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”! Jesus Died for us because he loved us so much! Do you know why we have the desire to love and be loved? It was built in us he created it in our inner beings. He created us in his image. John 4:19 “We love because he first loved us” How Cool is that! The fact of this sin filled world is that relationships here don’t last, whether that’s from death, breakups, or moves. People let us down, at times they hurt us and disappoint us, sometimes they fail us.

Jesus However never changes, never stops loving us and never fails us. Hebrews 13:5 “I will never fail you. I will Never abandon you.”  Or how about one of my favorite promises Deuteronomy 31:8 “The Lord himself goes with you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.” When Jesus was resurrected and spent time on the Earth before returning to the father his last words to his disciples were Matthew 28:20 “I am with you always, even to the end of age.”  He wanted to make absolute sure they knew he was never leaving them. You know another great thing about Gods Love is it cast out fear! Who doesn’t need that! John 4:18 “Perfect love Cast out fear”

Now this is the kind of love I want to celebrate and one day a year is not enough. If you’re feeling unloved today, you’re hurt, sad, disappointed or you don’t have a valentine this year. Maybe you’re going through a breakup a loss, or you’re just feeling unloved, known in your heart the King of Kings and Lord of Lords Loves you more than you can only imagine, and you don’t have to earn that love!! His love is not conditional or based on circumstances. Seek him and he will show you the love you need and deserve every day from now until eternity!

Now go eat your chocolates, smell the roses, and have Hope that you are SO LOVED! Zephaniah 3:17 “The Lord your God is with you, the Mighty Warrior who saves. He will take great delight in you, in his love he will no longer rebuke you, but will rejoice over you with singing.”
